WHAT IS OBAGI CRX TREATMENT
Obagi –C Rx is the only prescription-strength skincare with vitamin C.
It has professional strength vitamin C, 10% and 4% prescription-strength hydroquinone. The hydroquinone evens out skin tone and reduces hyperpigmentation, and the vitamin C offers antioxidant protection and direct stimulation of collagen synthesis.
Obagi-C Rx enhances collagen production for smoother skin, protects the skin from free radicals minimising skin cell damage from the environment, penetrates to all levels of the skin providing more vitamin C.
HOW IT WORKS
The Obagi CRx System offers the benefits of both prescription-strength 4% hydroquinone and Vitamin C to address the signs of skin damage and improve/maintain younger-looking skin.
Prescription-strength 4% Hydroquinone improves the appearance of hyperpigmentation (brown spots), radiance, and clarity.
Vitamin C — 10% L-Ascorbic acid supports skin rejuvenation the inside out. A specialised lower pH formulation optimizes absorption.
HOW LONG DOES THE OBAGI CRX HAVE TO BE USED FOR?
We normally recommend that patients should use Obagi CRx until they have achieved their desired results usually after 9-12 weeks of applying the Obagi CRx regime. Following this a maintenance regime will be recommended in order to maintain the results which have been achieved. Following a comprehensive consultation we encourage patients to attend the Clinic regularly for reviews so that we can ensure that the dosage and frequency is correct for each patient.
SIDE EFFECTS
Initially when using the Obagi CRx regime patients can experience some mild outbreaks, redness, flaking and sensitivity. This is a good sign that the products are working. These side effects start to subside within a few weeks. SPF should be applied due to UV sensitivity whilst using these products.
It is recommended that whilst using Obagi CRx that mineral makeup is applied.
